Nix — the frozen frontier opens
SystemThe new Nix (닉스) region finally lands, and it's not just another snow map. It's a territory with movement all its own, with two exclusive traversal systems. The Mirinae (미리내), the "milky way road", is a rail of light that crosses the region at extreme speed without spending stamina. The Sky Wedge (하늘쐐기) is a high-speed dive: you launch from the Aetherion in the air and glide to the ground, returning to normal form on landing.
The field is alive: 30 sudden events (25 fixed + 5 conditional) pop up across the whole hunt, doable in a party, solo or in an instanced space. There's also the Tumgir Vault, timed solo content, and hidden chests that only appear with the right Frozen Scrolls.

Codex of Adventure · Part 3 and the World Tree's Guidance
SystemAlongside Nix comes Part 3 of the Codex of Adventure (설백의 동토, "The White Tundra"), with 6 acts — starting with The Cult's Forbidden Book. For the first time since 2024 the Codex puts the adventurer back as the protagonist. The Star Journey gains 6 new Star Memories, there are +66 collection entries and an external codex, Remnants of Nix, the gateway to the Rift.
For returning players, the World Tree's Guidance gains the Leaf's Fruit chapter (잎사귀의 결실): it runs parallel to the old track and hands out enough gear, specialization and runes to take on Nix just by completing the Codex missions.


Gauntlet — the new impact weapon
SkillThe new melee weapon is the Gauntlet (권갑 / Knuckles). The idea is to control the fight's rhythm with heavy skill chains and a sense of impact — using collision and stun to lock the enemy down, and high threat to hold the front line as a tank.
The trick is the stance swap: in specific situations you switch to Claw mode (클로 모드) and become a different character — fast, sharp chains that burst high damage for a moment. The Gauntlet is already usable in the Star's Call: Sword of Judgment raid, has 13 crafting recipes of its own and gained a dedicated tab on the market.

Level 60, stats and specialization
SystemThe max level rises from 56 to 60. Each extra level grants Stat Points, and at specific levels Specialization Points. The five base stats — Strength, Dexterity, Wisdom, Perception and Endurance — have their cap raised from 99 to 130, with new milestone bonuses at 100 and 120.
Weapon specialization grows alongside, and a brand-new skill grade above Heroic arrives: Legendary. At the top, the [Skill +1] potential lifts the skill to Mythic. Each of the 9 weapons also gained a new active skill.

PvPThe most sensitive change is a quiet one: the attack speed and movement speed formula was rewritten. It's not just a nerf — attack-speed-reliant weapons and PvE-weak classes got compensating adjustments. The team targeted the cases where speed broke the combat rhythm, mostly in PvP.
Two new mechanics hit PvP directly: shield-HP ignore (보호막 생명력 무시), which only works against players, and bleed (출혈) added to several damage-over-time effects. Many PvE skills also gained monster-damage amplification.

Field bosses, Arch Boss and elites
Arch BossNix brings two new Field Bosses: Sopor in the Deep Snow Land and Tuban in the Border District. Toland's Field Bosses were radiantized (광성화) and raised to level 60 — and their old weapons stop dropping, with the Skill Cores migrating to the radiant bosses.
The Arch Boss also rose to level 60. The schedule changed: the common Arch Boss stops appearing and the radiants now show up on Wednesday and Saturday. Elite monsters were split into three types — War, Abyss and Peace — each with a different pace of play.

- Abyss type: appears in a dungeon; day and night alternate between war and peace

Heroic dungeons and the Rift of Nix
DungeonTwo new heroic dungeons open in sequence: the Frost Breath Cave (서리 숨결 동굴), with the boss Vulkanus, and the Iron Tomb Cradle (철묘의 요람), with Felinex. Both require a minimum of 7,000 combat power.
The top-end PvPvE content is the Rift: Remnants of Nix (균열 닉스의 잔영) — an extraction mode for up to 4 anonymous players. You farm Red Frost items for a limited time and must escape through an Escape Port to Shermir's Sphere to purify. It's a lawless zone: everyone outside your party is hostile, dying drops what you're carrying, and there are risk and high-risk zones with more danger and more reward.

Purification — the new loot loop
SystemNix introduces a whole new way to get items: Purification. Red Frost items (붉은 서리) drop only inside Nix, cursed by the archmage Shermir — and they're useless until purified at Shermir's Celestial Sphere, one per region.
The risk is the seasoning: Red Frost vanishes if you die in Nix, leave the region (teleport included) or close the game with it in your bag. Only the safe bag preserves the item on death or movement within Nix. Purification runs slot by slot, and taking damage mid-process can interrupt it.

Gear progression overhaul
SystemThis is the change that rewrites the end game. Enhancement-based growth is out and Item Level growth is in. Enhancement, transcendence and link cease to exist. Staged grades disappear: Rare stage 1/2 become just Rare, Heroic stage 1/2/3 become just Heroic.
In place of enhancement comes Inheritance (계승): take a higher-Item-Level item and transfer that level (or the potential ability) to the gear you already use, keeping trait and resonance. The old item becomes material, and Inheritance consumes Inheritance Stones. The stat-swap function moved to Maprion's Recombiner, and Alt+G became an item details mode.

⟡ Heads upEvery item listed on the market and the guild market is delisted and sent to the warehouse / depot. The rubbing function (탁본지화) is gone and becomes sealing (봉인): a sealed item can be traded, but once unsealed it can never be sealed again. Rubbings become the very tradeable gear they would have produced.
Traits, Resonance, Potential and Sealing
SystemWith enhancement gone, everything around the item was rewritten. The base trait leaves the gear: you now open 3 traits with a Trait Opening Stone (Heroic or above only) and grow them with a Trait Reinforcement Stone. Resonance is now opened with a Resonance Stone and grows over 4 stages, with 4 slots of up to 10 each (sum of 40 at max).
There's also the Potential Ability (잠재 능력), a random effect that boosts a skill or a stat, survives sealing and is tradeable — the market now searches by potential, not by base trait anymore. And the old rubbing becomes sealing.

Rewards, shops and economy
SystemWith several old items gone and the new ones arriving, every reward source was reshuffled. The Battlefield coin shop became the Honor Coin shop, the Mystic Key was reworked, Material Conversion went to 1–3 stages, and 15 weapons were renamed due to a drop-source change. Dimensional Challenge, Tower of Greed, Infinite Gate and Hall of Illusions rose to level 60.

QoL — skill chaining, player info and lifeskills
SystemNix is packed with convenience. The headliner is Skill Chaining (스킬 연계 시스템): you pre-set up to 5 skills in a sequence and fire the next with a key (default [V]) when the game flags the chain is ready. It's optional and doesn't replace manual control.
The wall between veterans and newcomers fell: the Information Sharing System lets anyone inspect another player's build (weapon, armor, accessory, artifact and rune) via their business card. And lifeskills improved heavily — gathering, processing and the workshop lost their level caps.

EventThe season turnover comes with events and a new shop. The Solisium Summer Festa and the Radiant Arch Boss Grand Assault are running. For those who want to skip the line, there's a jump ticket up to level 55, the Battle Pass: Frozen Frontier and the 56–60 growth pass. The Nix Snowfield Knights and Nix Platinum packages open sales, plus reruns of weapon skins (including the Gauntlet) and Deluze Noah and Giant Brook furniture.

Nix rewrites four pillars at once: progression (level 60 + stats), combat (speed recalculation), economy (the end of enhancement, Item Level and sealing) and loot (purification with risk of loss). The detail nobody will mention up front is the speed cap — on its own it redesigns PvP more than the Gauntlet does. Add shield-ignore and bleed and you've got a completely new meta season.
