Privacy Policy
How Scaryel Codex handles personal data, cookies and analytics — in compliance with the LGPD (Brazilian GDPR, Law No. 13,709/2018), transparently and without selling data.
Effective since May 25, 2026
1. Who is responsible
Scaryel Codex is an unofficial fan site maintained by the @Scaryel channel (“we”, “Codex”). For privacy matters, use the public channels listed in the contact section.
There is no user registration or logged-in area in the Codex. We do not collect names, emails or passwords through our own forms.
2. What data may be processed
We do not sell or rent personal data. We do not use the data for targeted behavioral advertising on the Codex.
- Technical browsing data: pages visited, device type, browser language, approximate origin of the visit and aggregated interactions on the site.
- Preferences stored locally: cookie choice (analytics accepted or essential only) and visual theme (where applicable).
- Diagnostic data: technical errors, performance and, with your consent, session replays to investigate failures.
- Data processed by third parties when playing embedded videos or streams (YouTube, Twitch), under those platforms’ policies.
4. Purposes and legal bases (LGPD)
You can withdraw analytics consent at any time through the cookie preferences. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully before the withdrawal.
- Measure audience and improve articles — consent (art. 7, I) for Firebase Analytics.
- Ensure security and fix failures — legitimate interest (art. 7, IX) and, where applicable, consent for expanded Sentry features.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to data subject requests — legal obligation or exercise of rights (art. 7, II and VI).
- Display videos and streams — performance of a feature requested by you when playing the embedded content.
5. Sharing and processors
We may share data with providers that process information on our behalf, only for the purposes described:
- Google / Firebase (Analytics) — United States and global infrastructure; subject to Google’s terms.
- Sentry — error monitoring; reduced configuration without consent and expanded with consent.
- Hosting and CDN providers used to publish the site (for example, Vercel or Firebase Hosting, depending on the deployment environment).
6. Retention
Aggregated metrics in analytics tools follow each provider’s standard retention periods.
Error logs in Sentry are kept for as long as necessary for diagnostics and then discarded or anonymized according to the service configuration.
Your cookie preference remains on your device until you clear local storage or reset the preferences in the footer.
7. Your rights
Under the LGPD (Brazilian GDPR), you may request confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization, portability (where applicable), deletion of data processed with consent, information about sharing and withdrawal of consent.
To exercise your rights, contact us through the project channels. We will respond within a reasonable time and may request additional information to confirm your identity in a proportionate manner.
8. Children and adolescents
The Codex is aimed at the general gaming audience. We do not intentionally collect children’s data. If you believe a minor’s data has been processed improperly, contact us for review and deletion.
9. Security
We adopt technical and organizational measures proportionate to the size of the project, such as HTTPS, data minimization and restricted configuration of tools when consent is not granted.
No system is fully immune to incidents; in the event of a relevant breach, we will take the measures provided for by law.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect new features or legal requirements. The date at the top indicates the current version.
Relevant changes may be highlighted in the cookie banner or in the site footer.
